Welcome to my world

My friends would not tell you that I am a humble guy. I may be overcompensating.

My Mom raised me to believe that I was something special.  Once I was committed to knowing that I was no more special than the bark on any tree, I then was able to function in the real world. I am proud, though, that those who know me will likely affirm something my brother once used to describe me, and that is as a kind person.  I love to look for the best in the human of us, and I prefer to see the bright side of most situations. Just an ordinary guy who cares to be a good man. I like life.

I often say that my heart is truly in the Lowcountry, that section of South Carolina that includes my much loved Hilton Head.
